We want to see God catalyse a movement in the city of Auburn!
Come and be a part of it.
When? 10:30am until dinner, Saturday, 1 March 2025
Meet at: 24 Langtry Ave, Auburn 2144.
What? Prayer walking, healing the sick, loving lost people, sharing Jesus, telling stories and having a big meal. We will begin in prayer and encouragement, then head out around lunch time into the city, regrouping in the evening for a dinner and exchanging of stories. Parents with kids are welcome to use the house as a base for naps etc.
Here’s the rundown: Ramadan begins the day before we meet (Friday), and the spiritual atmosphere in Australia’s most ethnically diverse suburb will be electric. We want to see miracles happen, new discovery bible studies started, new key discipling relationships formed, and the birth of a multiplying movement in Auburn.
What’s a PUSH weekend?
PUSH stands for Pray Until Something Happens. We want to go out and do the great commission. As opposed to just sharing the gospel and then leaving; we are hoping to find Key Inside Leaders who will open up their social networks so that the gospel can multiply throughout the Auburn Community. Our dream is to see a long term, indigenously-led, sustainable movement of Disciples and Micro-churches in Auburn, that sees the gospel touch the lives of every person working, studying, eating and living in Auburn.
Why Cities?
Traditionally, Western mission strategies have focussed on reaching a homogenous people group with similar values, languages, beliefs and cultural backgrounds. However, the cities of today are completely the opposite. Auburn is home to literally hundreds of different languages, ethnicities, social groups, religions and social demographics – as such, it requires a missional strategy that is agile, simple and highly reproducible to see multiplication happen. We need to lean into the existing networks that exist in Auburn, building God’s Kingdom away from ourselves and towards lostness and brokenness. Come and join in!
