Fruitpickers prayer guide, January 2023

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

Praise the Lord for His abundant goodness and infinite mercy, for a new year to serve Him and see His kingdom happen in Australia as it is in heaven! Keep praising him all the time. He’s so good. Hallelujah. I’m so happy.

Pray for our in person meeting in Sydney next week, as we focus on finishing the work that God has given us – to see a movement of 100 groups by July 2025 – and establish exactly what our role is as individuals and a team.

Pray for catalysts. Our team is made up of them. We go into urban communities to plant the kingdom of God. We are constantly on the hunt for people God has prepared for us. Our work is to initiate relationships, share meals and invite people to read the Bible to discover God. As we put ourselves in the harvest, among the lost, we often face rejection and ostracization. Pray for boldness, for open doors into the community, for inside leaders, and the guidance of the Spirit. Pray for the groups that form in these communities to have ‘movement genes’ of discovery, obedience and multiplication.
