Prayers Under the Bridge

Fruitpickers prayer guide, May 2022

I would rather teach one man to pray than ten men to preach – Charles Spurgeon

Praise God. He’s moving. We sometimes feel like we are failing at seeing our dream – a movement of 100 groups in Australia by July 2023 – come to fruition, but, by the mighty grace of God, we’re failing forwards. There are multiple groups happening around the team, full of lost and hopeless people who don’t know Christ. People are being transformed by the Word as they obey and share it. We are still praying, we are still believing, the God of the universe is still with us – until the end of the age.

This month, as you pray with us and for us for movement in Australia, consider praying these verses:
(Sometimes Soph and I drive down near the Harbour Bridge and pray these over the city! Take a friend and go somewhere to ask Jesus for these)

  1. God to send laborers into the harvest field and increase the number of disciple makers and intercessors (Luke 10:2, Matthew 28:19-20)
  2. God to touch the hearts of men and draw them to Himself (John 6:43-45)
  3. Open doors for the gospel message (Colossians 4:3-4)
  4. Persons of peace to be discovered in communities (Luke 10:5-7)
  5. Every stronghold and lie of the enemy to be broken (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
  6. Fresh anointing and boldness for the disciple makers (Luke 4:18, Acts 4:29-31)
  7. Increase in signs and wonders (Acts 4:30, Romans 15:19, 2 Corinthians 2:4-5)
  8. Protection and provision for workers (Matthew 10:16, Philippians 4:19)
  9. Rapid multiplication of the work that results in movements (John 15:8, Acts 6:7)
  10. Other movements and disciple makers around the world (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)

Press on, dear Brethren. There’s surely nothing more pleasing to The Father than making the Gospel of His Son known to those for whom He died. And Rose again. Hallelujah!!!
