Fruitpickers Prayer Guide, April 2022

‘Do not be ashamed, then, of witnessing for our Lord… Instead, take your part in suffering for the Good News, as God gives you the strength to do it.’ 2 Timothy 1:8

Thank God heaps!!! He gives us the strength to join Him in suffering for the Good News. Pray that the Fruitpickers team would be completely unashamed of witnessing for our Lord. In the workplace, at the coffee shop, even on zoom. Thank God that he keeps making us more bold. The team have been led to be more bold than ever in the harvest, and we know it is only through continued prayer that this has happened. This boldness has led to many spiritual conversations and open doors for the Word over the last month.

Pray for continued pruning in the team. That God would prune, refine and focus us on Him and His mission. Busyness and complicated weekly schedules continue to be one of the biggest challenges for us as a team. Please pray that God would help us to pray together more individually, as couples and as a team. It’s shameful to admit, but hobbies, work, screens and food take up much of the time that prayer should.

Pray for continued ways to serve the lost. Pray for ways to ‘pour ourselves out for the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted’. Pray that we would be completely willing to joyfully empty our bank accounts and calendars for the people we are trying to reach. Pray for more opportunities for physical healing and practical ways to help people and for more stuff that glorifies Jesus to happen.
